The 39th annual technical Sessions of the Geological Society of Sri Lanka was held on 24th of February 2023 at the Oak Ray Regency Hotel, Kandy.

The event provided a knowledge sharing niche for multidisciplinary research and encourages collaboration among eminent researchers, renowned intellectuals, emerging scholars, academics, scientists, industrialists, professionals, graduates and undergraduates to disseminate their research findings and innovative ideas in the all sub disciplines of Earth Sciences with special focus on research, value addition, management and utilization of "Geological Resources for Economic Growth"
