The Geological Society of Sri Lanka announced the recipient of the prestigious Ananda Coomaraswamy Medal for the year 2022 as Dr. Jagath Gunatilake, Department of Geology, University of Peradeniya, in recognition of his contributions to the advancement of the Engineering Geology and GIS knowledge of Sri Lanka. Dr. Gunatilake has received B.Sc. special degree in Geology with First Class Honors, M.Sc. from AIT, Thailand and PhD. from Saga University, Japan.
